Legislation

In 2013, the mortality rate in Africa was 26.6 fatalities per 100,000 population, representing 31% of road traffic fatalities globally (WHO, 2015). A first step in improving road safety is to provide a legislative framework with laws and regulations that influence road safety. This framework needs to cover the whole road traffic system, that is road safety management, infrastructure, vehicles and road user behaviour. (more…)

Infrastructure
